Because of its tradition spanning 80 years and significant work the salon has been proclaimed intangible cultural heritage of the Republic of Croatia.
The salon was open until 2014 when it had a short break due to relocating to a new address and the fact that Vesna retired. Award-winning hairdresser Marijana Habijanec is the person behind reopening of craft Kincl at the address 3 Lang Street. She grew up and completed her education in Austria, but her desire to live and work in Croatia eventually prevailed. She worked in salon Kincl for a number of years and managed to establish a firm business and private relationship. This greatly contributed to her efforts aimed at keeping the Kincl tradition alive and put in her work and ideas in business development.

Just like before emphasis is placed on quality and precise haircuts which are adjusted to the shape of the head and hair quality. Marijana uses the best ammonia and paraben free hair colours. She also uses standard hair colours that will camouflage the most persistent grey hairs. In addition to having a knack for making classic hairstyles for special occasions, Marijana keeps up with the latest trends and client’s demands.
“It would have been such a shame if the tradition hadn’t been kept alive. I’m glad that my strong will and effort managed to keep this craft running. I enjoy my job and believe that the business be even more successful in the future. People nowadays have modern and hectic lifestyles, but hair salon Kincl follows the latest trends while maintaining its level of quality”, Marijana says.
