Leatherware Završki

O obrtu

His son and namesake Vjekoslav spent his childhood surrounded by leatherware. He worked alongside his father for six years and during that time managed to meet all the requirements needed to run a trade. While he was attending university he turned to his family business for sentimental reasons and officially took over in 1977.

Production comprises the bulk of business at leatherware Završki, while the remainder is made up of repair work and maintenance of their products. They make personalised bags, cases, all kinds of leather covers, belts and other leatherware. Vjekoslav says that political institutions such as the Croatian Sabor and the City Administration used to place large orders. Large companies such as Ericsson Nikola Tesla also placed large orders.

Belts and their protected invention, foldable books, are in high demand today. This is a topical book with leather covers that promotes particular places and events in an innovative way and everybody who sees it is blown away.

“I have complete confidence in my products and guarantee for their quality. Emotions are important in this line of work, muck like expertise and having a knack for art. Back in the day we used to make a lot of cases for music instruments, hunting and military weapons and typewriters. Naturally, the marked has changes considerably but we’re doing everything we can to keep up. My daughter Sunčana recently took over the business. While growing up, she would spent every spare moment with me in my workshop. She graduate from the Faculty of Science and worked at my side for a year upon getting her degree. All of this encouraged her not to disregard our tradition and craft. I wish her all the best in her work and I’m at her disposal if she needs and kind of advice and support”, Vjekoslav says.
