Strugar shoes

Craftmen Alojz Strugar started the Strugar family shoemaking tradition in 1967. He takes the credit for the fact that their handmade men’s shoes, which have been listed as the best for 50 years, are so recognisable. His son Nenad took over the business and he added his own vision to the business concept thereby giving the brand a modern twist.

The Strugar family craft has s longstanding tradition which has left its mark on the Croatian public scene. Their shoe were and still are a signature clothing item worn by famous people from all walks of life. The shoes’ quality and uniqueness make them appealing to tourists as well as they find them to be a functional souvenir.

I’m happy to be a part of this family tradition. Even though craftsmen are in a way always a slave to their business, at the end of the day you feel content and proud. We offer our customers with creative, quality and aesthetically appealing shoes. It brings me great joy when Italians, who are renowned for their shoes, opt for Strugar shoes”, Nenad says.

Aside from Croatia, their shoes have been included in the list of the world’s top 500 shoe producers. Nenad says that the aim is to maintain their quality and profile while at the same time furthering their business activity.
